Job Purpose
To lead and deliver construction and infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards by managing resources, coordinating stakeholders, and guiding project teams.
Job Summary
Position Title: Project Manager – Site Work & Infrastructure Division
Reports To: Project Director
Duty Station: Jimma Housing Project
Salary & Benefits: Negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage construction and infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Monitor project performance and ensure adherence to engineering specifications, safety standards, and contractual requirements.
Collaborate with designers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to address technical challenges and streamline project execution.
Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to maximize efficiency.
Conduct routine site inspections to verify work quality, compliance, and workplace safety.
Prepare comprehensive progress reports and communicate project updates to management and key stakeholders.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering collaboration and driving achievement of project objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum
8–10 years of experience
in infrastructure and site work project management.
Strong knowledge of civil works, utilities, drainage, and road construction.
Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
Strong financial management and contract administration skills.
