Job Purpose
The Project Manager – Comprehensive Finishing Division will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all finishing activities across assigned projects, including painting, plastering, tiling, flooring, ceiling installation, and carpentry works. The role ensures that all finishing phases are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and contractual compliance while optimizing resources, controlling budgets, and delivering projects on schedule.

Duty Station: Jimma Housing Project
Salary & Benefits: Negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience
Duties and Responsibilities
•Plan, organize, and manage all finishing activities, including painting, plastering, tiling, flooring, ceiling installation, and carpentry works across assigned projects.
• Prepare comprehensive work schedules, assign resources efficiently, and track project performance to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and contractual obligations throughout all finishing phases.
• Collaborate with designers, procurement teams, and site engineers to address technical challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring materials and services are delivered on schedule and meet required standards.
• Generate periodic progress updates, highlighting project achievements, risks, and corrective actions to senior management.
• Monitor project budgets, control expenditures, and optimize resource utilization to achieve cost-effective project delivery.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to finishing teams, fostering productivity and ensuring successful achievement of project milestones.
Job Specification
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional Experience
Minimum
7–10 years of experience
in construction project management, with at least
3 years in finishing works
.
Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
Core Professional Skills
Strong knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and industry standards.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong financial and resource management capabilities.
