Safaricom Ethiopia is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for several finance-related positions at its Addis Ababa office.

The company is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Position 1: Senior Accountant – M-PESA Finance

Educational Requirement:

  • Honors Degree from a recognized university.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA (K), ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.

Work Experience:

  • 2–3 years of accounting experience in an international company or international audit firm.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Duty Station:

  • Addis Ababa

Position 2: Senior Accountant – Inventory

Educational Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field from a recognized university.
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) is an added advantage.

Work Experience:

  • 3–4 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting.
  • Experience using data analytics and visualization tools.
  • Strong strategic thinking and process improvement skills.

Duty Station:

  • Addis Ababa

Position 3: Senior Accountant – Credit Controller

Educational Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.

Work Experience:

  • 3–4 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Ability to improve financial processes and systems through strategic thinking.

Duty Station:

  • Addis Ababa

Position 4: Analyst – Financial Systems & Processes

Educational Requirement:

  • Honors Degree from a recognized university.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).

Work Experience:

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience in an international company or audit firm.
  • 3–5 years of experience managing financial systems, particularly ERP platforms.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Experience preparing accounting records, trial balances, and financial statements.
  • Ability to evaluate and improve financial systems and business processes.
