Development for Peace Organization (DPO) is inviting qualified and committed professionals to apply for several vacant positions in its humanitarian and health programs based in the Gambella Region.

Established in 2020, Development for Peace Organization (DPO) is an Ethiopian non-governmental organization dedicated to addressing humanitarian and development challenges without discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, or cultural background. The organization is legally registered in Ethiopia and has expanded its operations to South Sudan, Somalia, and Kenya, while also pursuing registration in Yemen. DPO works to improve the lives of vulnerable communities through emergency response, healthcare, and sustainable development initiatives.

The organization is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Position 1: Nurse

Educational Requirement:

• Diploma in Nursing with a valid Certificate of Competence (COC) and professional license, plus 4 years of practical experience, or
• BSc Degree in Nursing with a valid professional license and 2 years of relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and triage.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Monitor patients' conditions and maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient services.
• Provide health education and emotional support to patients.

Duty Station:

• Gambella Region (Nygunyyiel, Pinyudo, Jewi, Terkidi, and Luakdong Refugee Camps)

Salary:

• As per the organization's salary scale.

Position 2: Midwife Nurse

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Midwifery with a valid COC and professional license.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years for Bachelor's Degree holders.
• Minimum of 3 years for Diploma holders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide antenatal care and monitor pregnancy.
• Assist during childbirth and manage normal deliveries.
• Deliver postpartum care for mothers and newborns.
• Educate mothers on maternal and newborn health.

Duty Station:

• Gambella Region (Nygunyyiel, Pinyudo, Jewi, Terkidi, and Luakdong Refugee Camps)

Salary:

Position 3: Druggist

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Pharmacy.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years for Bachelor's Degree holders.
• Minimum of 4 years for Diploma holders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage pharmaceutical inventory and storage.
• Dispense medications according to prescriptions.
• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and provide patient counseling.

Duty Station:

• Gambella Region (Jewi, Pinyudo, Terkidi, Nygunyyiel, and Luakdong Refugee Camps)

Position 4: Laboratory Technician

Educational Requirement:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Laboratory Technology with a valid professional license.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years for Bachelor's Degree holders.
• Minimum of 3 years for Diploma holders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze clinical specimens.
• Ensure quality control and accuracy of laboratory results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Manage laboratory inventory and documentation.

• Gambella Region (Pinyudo, Jewi, Terkidi, Nygunyyiel, and Luakdong Refugee Camps)

Position 5: Logistics and Admin Assistant

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years for Bachelor's Degree holders.
• Minimum of 3 years for Diploma holders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate transportation of supplies and equipment.
• Supervise vehicle utilization and maintenance.
• Maintain fleet records and fuel consumption reports.
• Coordinate procurement and logistics activities.
• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and insured.

Duty Station:

• Luakdong Refugee Camp, Gambella Region

Salary:

Position 6: Driver

Educational Requirement:

• Valid and renewed Public Transport Driver's License (Category P1).

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport staff and visitors.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Maintain vehicle logbooks and mileage records.
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations.
• Support vehicle maintenance and procurement activities.
