About the Role:
Children Believe Fund (CBF) is a child-focused international development organization committed to improving the lives of children, families, and communities in Ethiopia through health, nutrition, WASH, education, child protection, and sustainable development initiatives. We are seeking a Finance Officer for our nutrition-focused project, CHANGE, in North Wollo. The officer will oversee financial planning, budget management, and ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage project budgets, monthly and annual cash flows.
Record all financial transactions and ensure compliance with CBF and donor guidelines.
Provide financial advice to the Project Manager and ensure proper fund requests and approvals.
Supervise the Admin & Finance Assistant and maintain effective financial controls.
Reconcile petty cash and manage all financial documentation, payments, and bank balances.
Calculate payroll, ensure taxes are paid, and assist with procurement of project materials.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including in NGO settings.
Proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks, and Sage.
Previous NGO experience is required.
