We are hiring on behalf of our client Abay Investment Holding for one of its subsidiaries Yegof Wood Products PLC.

Yegof Wood Products PLC was established in June 2010 E.C. by the shareholders of Amhara Forest Enterprise and the Water Works Corporation, holding 95% and 5% share capital respectively. The company operates a specialized industrial-scale wood processing facility primarily focused on utilizing eucalyptus trees for the high-yield production and supply of premium veneer and plywood for both domestic and foreign markets.

Purpose of the job
The General Manager is fully responsible for driving profitability, sustaining institutional growth, and ensuring total alignment with the shareholders’ financial mandates. This position directly oversees long-term market position, corporate compliance, standard implementation (IFRS & Kaizen), and high-level institutional stakeholder relations.
Key responsibilities      
Strategic & Financial Command
– Oversee structural adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), continually improve process costing flows, ensure seamless tax clearing systems, and safeguard corporate liquidity.
– Champion and institutionalize the Kaizen philosophy across all processing departments. Enforce high organizational governance standards to eliminate operational misbehavior, inefficiencies, and rent-seeking attitudes.
Drive local and international market expansion by cultivating high-value commercial networks with wholesalers, distributors, retail entities, and end consumers.
– Facilitate structured national and international industrial experience-sharing frameworks with top-tier wood processing corporations to maintain the enterprise’s competitive technical edge.
– Formulate and present comprehensive data-backed quarterly progress evaluations, operational analyses, and financial statements directly to the Board of Shareholders.
Job Requirements 
Education               – Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master’s in Industrial Management, Economics, Wood Technology, Forestry, or a highly related technical/executive discipline.
 Experience    – Minimum of 8 years of highly progressive corporate management experience, with at least 3–5 years spent in a senior director, executive or general management capacity within an industrial processing, manufacturing, or forestry sector.
Skills– Strong command over large-scale P&L oversight, industrial manufacturing costing mechanisms, corporate taxation structures, and IFRS frameworks.
– Proven capability to successfully lead complex organizations, resolve enterprise-level bottlenecks, execute change management, and inspire high-level corporate alignment.
