Position 1: Junior Researcher – Public Health or Health Informatics

Education:
BSc Degree in Public Health or Health Informatics from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 for male and 2.75 for female applicants.

Experience:
No prior experience required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel and work in rural and remote areas for extended periods.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Afan Oromo.

  • Knowledge of data management tools (ODK, REDCap, KoboToolbox, etc.) is an asset.

  • Data analysis experience with R or STATA is an advantage.

  • Strong computer and interpersonal skills.

Duty Station: Addis Ababa with frequent travel to West Arsi Zone (Shashemene Zuria, Negele Arsi, Shalla Woreda), Oromia Region

Position 2: Junior Researcher – Medical Laboratory Technologist

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology

Experience:
1–2 years in clinical or research laboratories (experience in malaria diagnostics preferred).

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in blood collection and sample handling

  • Experience in malaria microscopy, RDTs, and quality control

  • Strong organizational and communication abilities

  • Fluency in Afan Oromo (spoken & written)

  • Good computer skills (MS Office)

Duty Station: Addis Ababa with frequent travel to Shalla Woreda, West Arsi Zone
Salary: ETB 10,386
