ZE-EL Trading PLC is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the position of Accountant. The company is seeking a detail-oriented individual with solid accounting knowledge and experience in financial reporting, taxation, and inventory management. Candidates with a background in the pharmaceutical, trading, or import and distribution sectors are highly encouraged to apply.

Position: Accountant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Work Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, trading, import, or distribution sector is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions, journals, and ledgers.
• Process payments, receipts, and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Handle import costing, Letters of Credit (LCs), and foreign currency transactions.
• Coordinate inventory and cost records with the warehouse and store teams.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, and profit tax filings.
• Support budgeting, audits, and management reporting.
• Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and other regulatory institutions when required.

Required Skills

• Strong accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Peachtree, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel.
• Sound knowledge of Ethiopian tax and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical ability, accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
