The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa is inviting qualified and interested candidates to apply for the following positions at the U.S. Mission in Ethiopia.

1. Warehouse Worker (Truck Driver)

Education

• Completion of primary school is required.

Experience

• At least 2 years of professional experience driving trucks or heavy vehicles
• At least 1 year of experience in manual labor or warehouse-related work

Applicants should clearly describe their relevant education and experience in the appropriate sections of the ERA application.

Language Requirements

• Limited knowledge of English in speaking, reading, and writing
• Good working knowledge of Amharic in speaking, reading, and writing
• Language skills may be assessed during the recruitment process.

2. Maintenance Team Lead (NEC/NCC)

Education

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• At least 2 years of specialized vocational training from an accredited institution in one or more of the following areas:
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical systems
  • Maintenance and construction services

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of progressive hands-on experience applying advanced technician-level knowledge in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
• Experience should demonstrate the ability to maintain central systems/equipment and carry out necessary repairs.
• At least 1 additional year of experience as a technical team leader or supervisor in construction, facility maintenance, or building operations.

Language Requirements

• Good working knowledge of English in speaking, reading, and writing
• Good working knowledge of Amharic in speaking, reading, and writing
• Language skills may be tested.

Salary
