Role description
The Transport Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing strategies to promote the company's transportation, freight forwarding, and logistics services. This role bridges the gap between marketing strategy and sales execution, focusing on generating leads (RFQs), building brand awareness, and optimizing customer acquisition in the competitive transport sector.
Education & Experience
Degree:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Typically
2 to 5 years
of progressive marketing experience, ideally within the transport, freight forwarding, third-party logistics (3PL).
Skills & Competencies
Industry Knowledge:
Solid understanding of transportation logistics, shipping terms (Incoterms), air/sea/land freight operations, and supply chain dynamics.
B2B Marketing Expertise:
Proven track record in B2B lead generation, content marketing, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to explain complex logistical workflows as clear value propositions.
Analytical Mindset:
Ability to evaluate campaign performance data and track return on investment (ROI) metrics
