Role description

Job Summary:
The training and development Specialist will create, develop, implement,
and conduct training and development programs for employees
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify training and development needs through surveys, interviews focus groups and communication with managers and instructors/trainers
Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of employee and recommend learning solutions.
Develop unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills
Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials
Present/ Communicate training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations and videos
Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.
Collaborate with a trainer to assess, update, and revise training materials.
Direct structured learning experiences and evaluate the program effectiveness through assessments, surveys and feedbacks.
Acclimate new hires (employees) to the company and conduct orientation sessions.
Facilitate virtual classroom sessions
Evaluate learner progress through academic assessments, hands on practice, and on-the-job training.
Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development
Prepare and implement training budget: maintains records and reports of expenses
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualification:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of
training strategies and principles
, including adult learning theory, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Ability to
design and implement effective training and development
Training room management skills including
organization, time management, recognizing learner accomplishments, and correcting inappropriate behavior.
Emotional intelligence:
The ability to perceive the emotional state of individuals and groups; the ability to modify one’s own verbal and non-verbal mannerisms to engage and build trust.
Adept with a variety of
multimedia training platforms and methods
: proficiency with virtual training room software such as Zoom, Microsoft applications such PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Communication skills
: excellent verbal and written communication skill
Strong presentation skill
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering, management and other related fields
