Kelem International School (KIS), formerly known as the Swedish Community School, is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the following positions in Addis Ababa.

Position 1: Teaching Assistant

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B.Ed., BA, or BSc) in the relevant subject area.
• Pedagogy and teacher training certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or community school.

Job Summary

The Teaching Assistant will support the lead classroom teacher by assisting with lesson delivery, working with individual students or small groups, helping prepare instructional materials, monitoring student progress, and contributing to lesson planning and classroom organization.

Required Skill

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Position 2: French Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B.Ed.) in French Language and Literature, or B2/C1 DELF certification for teachers.
• At least three (3) years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or community school setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach French for approximately 25 classroom hours per week.
• Serve as a homeroom teacher when assigned.
• Participate in after-school activities and other school programs.

Required Skill

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
