Position 1: Silica Sand Quarry Controller
Job Summary
DEDE Bottling Factory PLC is looking for a competent Silica Sand Quarry Controller to oversee daily quarry activities and ensure a consistent supply of high-quality silica sand required for glass production.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise quarry extraction, crushing, washing, and stockpiling operations.
- Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Monitor quarry equipment and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Lead and supervise quarry employees while enforcing workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain production, inventory, and quality records.
- Coordinate the transportation of silica sand to the manufacturing plant.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Zero or more years of relevant experience in quarry operations or heavy industry.
- Strong leadership, planning, reporting, communication, and safety management skills.
Working Environment
The role involves working outdoors in a quarry environment with exposure to dust, vibration, noise, and varying weather conditions.
Duty Station: Jema (Around Lemi), Amhara
Position 2: Sand Plant and Cullet Plant Supervisor
Job Summary
The company is seeking an experienced Sand Plant and Cullet Plant Supervisor to oversee sand processing and cullet plant operations while ensuring continuous production of quality raw materials for glass manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the sand and cullet processing plants.
- Monitor sorting, processing, and quality control of cullet materials.
- Oversee sand grading, moisture monitoring, and chemical quality control.
- Coordinate laboratory testing and sampling activities.
- Supervise plant operators and ensure compliance with operational procedures.
- Monitor raw material inventory and prepare operational reports.
- Ensure proper waste management and housekeeping practices.
- Maintain daily production records and operational logs.
- Resolve operational issues and implement corrective measures.
- Promote workplace safety, environmental protection, and quality standards.
- Support Batch Plant and Furnace operations whenever required.
- Train and mentor junior staff members.
Qualifications
- BSc Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mineral Processing, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a glass manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is an added advantage.

Position 3: Driver
Job Summary
DEDE Bottling Factory PLC is also looking for a reliable Driver to safely transport employees, passengers, and company materials while ensuring assigned vehicles remain in good operating condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle condition before each trip.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine care of assigned vehicles.
- Replace tires when necessary.
- Transport staff, visitors, and goods safely to designated destinations.
- Deliver official documents and company materials.
- Record mileage and fuel consumption.
- Operate vehicles according to transport regulations.
- Safeguard vehicle tools and spare equipment.
- Perform liaison duties and other assignments as directed.
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 10 education.
- Valid Third Grade Driving License.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant driving experience.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Ethiopian transport regulations.
- Safe driving practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships.
