The firm works with national and international NGOs, donor agencies, and development partners to secure and manage funding for development and humanitarian programs.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Proposal Development Specialist will lead the design, development, and submission of high-quality, competitive proposals for donor-funded projects. The position requires strong technical writing skills, donor intelligence, and the ability to develop innovative, results-based project designs aligned with donor priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development of technical and financial proposals for donors and funding agencies.
Conduct donor mapping and identify funding opportunities.
Develop concept notes, expressions of interest, and full proposals.
Coordinate with sector experts, finance teams, and partners in proposal development.
Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and submission requirements.
Review and edit proposal drafts for quality, clarity, and competitiveness.
Develop project logframes, theories of change, and implementation frameworks.
Support negotiation and clarification processes with donors.
Maintain a proposal pipeline and submission tracker.
Provide technical guidance to junior proposal writers

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, International Relations, or related fields.
Minimum 5 years of experience in proposal writing, resource mobilization, or project development.
Proven experience with international donors (EU, UN agencies, USAID, INGOs, foundations).
Strong understanding of results-based management and logical frameworks.
Excellent English writing and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to secure competitive donor funding is an advantage.
