Joytech PLC is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the position of Senior Electrician. The company is looking for a skilled technician who can support the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operations at its farm in Legedadi.

Educational Requirements

Applicants should have one of the following qualifications:

• Level IV TVET Certificate (mandatory) or a 10+3 Diploma in Electricity from a recognized technical institution.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment, preferably in a similar industry.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• A valid driving license.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, and service manuals.
• Good physical fitness and willingness to work rotating 8-hour shifts, including weekends.
• High standards of integrity, reliability, and self-discipline.
• Microsoft Office skills are considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and repairing electrical components of machines and production equipment.
• Supporting the Maintenance Manager in planning preventive maintenance schedules.
• Repairing and overhauling equipment in the maintenance workshop.
• Maintaining workplace safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
• Testing machinery after repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Reading and following electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
• Preparing accurate maintenance and service reports.
• Maintaining work tools and equipment in good condition.
• Completing assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Carrying out additional duties assigned by supervisors and reporting maintenance activities as required.
