Role description

The Senior Bid and Pre-Sales Specialist will play a key role in expanding the company's business opportunities by independently and responsibly tracking, analyzing, and preparing strategic bid documents. The specialist must possess comprehensive knowledge of local procurement laws, directives, and the overall tender lifecycle, as well as extensive practical experience in technical pre-sales activities. By working collaboratively with various technical teams, the specialist will ensure the company remains highly competitive in all bidding processes.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Preparation & Execution:
Daily monitoring and identification of tender notices issued by government, private, and international organizations.
Carefully reviewing tender documents (RFP, RFQ, RFI) to clearly analyze requirements, legal, financial, and technical specifications.
Collaborating with technical and financial departments to prepare complete, high-quality, and competitive Technical and Financial Proposals.
Organizing and attaching Bid Bonds/CPOs and other required legal documents in a timely manner.
Carefully packaging bid documents and reliably submitting them to the purchasing organization according to the set deadlines.
Pre-Sales Activities:
Studying customer needs and market gaps to design appropriate technological or business solutions.
Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and product demos that introduce the company's products and services to clients.
Serving as a primary technical advisor and bridge between the technical team and the sales department.
Post-Tender Follow-up:
Representing the company at bid openings and tracking the evaluation processes.
Collaborating with the technical team to prepare prompt and accurate responses to requests for clarifications raised by buyers.
Reviewing the outcomes of previous bids to provide valuable inputs for the improvement of future operations
Requirements & Experience
Educational Level:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
Work Experience:
Minimum of
2 or more years
of practical work experience in Tender Management and Pre-sales roles (experience specifically in high-level projects and the technology/IT sector is highly preferred).
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of Procurement Laws:
Deep and proven understanding of local procurement laws and directives (government construction, goods, and service procurement regulations).
Writing Skills:
Exceptional ability to write high-quality technical and strategic documents in both Amharic and English.
Attention to Detail:
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to spot minor nuances, legal terminologies, and work effectively under tight deadlines.
Communication Skills:
Strong ability to collaborate and negotiate with clients and internal company teams.
Technological Awareness:
Capacity to quickly grasp the company's technical products and services and effectively explain them to clients.
