GPS Express PLC is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the following position.

Position: Senior Accountant (Re-advertised)

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a logistics company.
• Strong understanding of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Peachtree/Sage or other ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Amharic.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity in handling confidential financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain the general ledger and record journal entries accurately.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and cash management activities.
• Ensure timely tax payments and compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations.
• Supervise and support junior accounting staff.
• Conduct internal audits and assist during external audit processes.
• Liaise with banks, suppliers, and government institutions on financial matters.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
