OVID Property Management and Title Deed PLC is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill the following position.

Position: Senior Accountant

Work Location: Addis Ababa

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess strong accounting knowledge and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Solid understanding of Ethiopian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software, including recording transactions, posting entries, and closing accounts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
• Experience preparing accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and ensure compliance in all financial activities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
• Ensure all accounting activities comply with Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Assist with tax return preparation and ensure timely submission.
• Record, post, and close financial transactions using Peachtree Accounting Software.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax legislation.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
