Key Responsibilities
As a teacher at Pharo School Assosa, or Homosha you will:
Bring learning to life through engaging, learner-centered lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
Design meaningful learning experiences by preparing creative lesson plans, instructional resources, and assessments.
Create a classroom where every student feels safe, respected, included, and empowered to succeed.
Use innovative teaching strategies and technology to make learning interactive, relevant, and enjoyable.
Track student progress through thoughtful assessments, providing timely feedback that encourages continuous growth.
Support every learner by identifying individual learning needs and implementing strategies that help each student reach their full potential.
Nurture not only academic achievement but also students' confidence, character, creativity, and emotional well-being.
Foster a positive classroom culture built on respect, responsibility, collaboration, and high expectations.
Build meaningful partnerships with parents and guardians to support every student's learning journey.
Work alongside passionate colleagues to share ideas, solve challenges, and continuously enhance teaching and learning.
Contribute to the vibrant life of the school by leading clubs, supporting co-curricular activities, and participating in school events.

Maintain accurate student records and use data to inform teaching and celebrate student progress.

Qualifications:
MSc/MA/BA/BSc in the relevant subject or a bachelor’s degree in education with subject specialization.
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience (3 years for Performing/Visual Arts teachers), ideally in high-performing international or private schools.
PGDT (Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching) –
mandatory
(for BSc and BA graduates).
Skills and Experience:
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
Proficient in using digital tools (Google Workspace, MS Office, etc.)
Demonstrated use of student-centered and tech-integrated teaching strategies
Strong grasp of data-driven instruction and assessment practices
Have excellent handwriting.
