| The Sanitary Engineer is responsible for follow up the designing, developing, and implementing sanitary systems including water supply, drainage, and wastewater management to meet project requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role supports the organization in delivering efficient and sustainable sanitary solutions for buildings, industrial facilities, or infrastructure projects. | |
| Key responsibilities | |
| – Prepare and evaluate the designs for water supply, drainage, water tanks, pumps, and wastewater treatment systems. – Develop technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using CAD and related software. – Draft and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications for sanitary systems. – Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. – Supervise the installation of sanitary systems to ensure compliance with approved designs. – Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of water and wastewater systems. – Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants to resolve technical issues, assist in technical evaluations and clarifications. – Coordinate sanitary designs with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. – Resolve site technical issues and provide engineering solutions. – Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to the project schedule. – Supervise and ensure proper execution of pressure testing, leakage tests, and commissioning. – Ensure all sanitary systems meet applicable codes and environmental regulations. – Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and sustainability. – Ensure proper documentation of inspections, tests, and approvals. – Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sanitary systems into overall project designs. – Provide technical support to procurement and review vendor submittals. – Prepare progress reports, as-built documentation, shop drawings, and project close-out reports. – Review and respond to site queries, RFIs, and design changes. – Support quantity surveyors in measurement, variations, and claims related to sanitary works. – Support final inspection, snagging, and project handover activities. | |
| Job Requirements | |
| Education | – Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Water Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or Civil Engineering. |
| Experience | – Minimum 6 years’ experience as sanitary Engineer from which 3 years’ experience as operating at a senior level. |
| Skills | – Strong knowledge of water supply, drainage, and wastewater treatment systems. – Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools. – Familiarity with project management principles and budgeting. – Analytical and problem-solving abilities. – Excellent communication and teamwork skills. |
