Job Overview
The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and brand equity for the Factory. This role bridges the gap between production capacity and market demand, ensuring that the company's products achieve dominant placement in retail, corporate, and wholesale channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Market Analysis
Market Intelligence:
Monitor competitor pricing, promotional activities, and new product launches.
Revenue Forecasting:
Develop annual and quarterly sales budgets and marketing expenditures, aligning them with the factory’s production capacity.
Route-to-Market (RTM) Strategy:
Define the most efficient ways to reach consumers, whether through direct store delivery (DSD) or third-party wholesalers.
2. Sales and Distribution Management
Channel Development:
Identify and secure contracts with key accounts including supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and corporate offices.
Distributor Management:
Recruit and manage third-party distributors to ensure products reach remote or high-volume geographic areas.
Sales Force Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team; set individual KPIs and commission structures to drive performance.
Pipeline Oversight:
Ensure the sales team maintains a healthy pipeline of new leads while retaining existing high-value clients.
3. Brand Management and Marketing
Brand Positioning:
Oversee the visual identity of the brand, including label design, point-of-sale (POS) materials, and packaging aesthetics.
Integrated Campaigns:
Execute marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
Trade Marketing:
Design and implement in-store promotions, end-cap displays, and loyalty programs to increase "shelf shout" and consumer pull.
4. Operational Coordination
Demand Planning:
Work closely with the Production Manager to provide accurate sales forecasts, preventing stock-outs or excessive inventory of finished goods.
Logistics Liaison:
Coordinate with the fleet/logistics department to ensure timely delivery and optimized routing for the company's delivery trucks.
Quality Feedback Loop:
Communicate customer feedback regarding water taste, packaging leaks, or delivery issues to the Quality Control and Production teams.
About You
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA is a significant advantage.
Proven track record of at least 5–8 years in sales and marketing within the food and beverage or FMCG industry.
Experience specifically within the bottled water or beverage manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
Adaptability
Ability to deliver quality work within deadlines
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Ability to build strong working relationships
Ability to multitask and prioritize work
