Samaritan’s Purse (SP) is an international, non-denominational Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to providing both physical and spiritual assistance to people affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine. The organization operates across several regions of Ethiopia, delivering life-saving humanitarian and development programs to vulnerable communities.

Samaritan’s Purse Ethiopia is seeking qualified and committed professionals to fill the following positions.

1. Registered Nurse

Educational Qualification

  • BSc Degree in Nursing.
  • Valid professional nursing license.

Experience

  • 4–5 years of clinical experience in hospitals, health centers, or NGOs.
  • Experience working in low-resource or humanitarian settings is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to travel to field locations.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to Samaritan's Purse values and code of conduct.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English and Amharic.
  • Knowledge of the local regional language is required.
  • Additional Ethiopian languages are considered an advantage.

2. Cash & Livelihood Technical Lead

Educational Qualification

  • BA/BSc Degree in Agriculture, Livestock Production, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, Economics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3–4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within an NGO.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Commitment to Samaritan's Purse values and ethical standards.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English and Amharic.
  • Knowledge of the local regional language is required.
  • Additional Ethiopian languages are an advantage.

3. Livelihood Officer

Educational Qualification

  • BA/BSc Degree in Agriculture, Livestock Production, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, Economics, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 3–4 years of relevant experience, preferably with an NGO.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage workload effectively.
  • Commitment to Samaritan's Purse values and ethics.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English and Amharic.
  • Knowledge of the local regional language is required.
  • Additional local language skills are an asset.

4. Livelihood Program Manager

Educational Qualification

  • BA/BSc or MA/MSc Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Agriculture, Economics, Disaster Risk Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Previous field-level project management experience in livelihood or development programs is preferred.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English and Amharic.
  • Knowledge of the local regional language is required.
  • Additional Ethiopian languages are an advantage.

5. Warehouse Assistant

Educational Qualification

  • BA Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or transport management.
  • NGO experience is an added advantage.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English and Amharic.
  • Knowledge of the local regional language is required.
  • Additional Ethiopian languages are a plus.

  • Addis Ababa

6. Roving Fleet Officer

Educational Qualification

  • BA Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Business Management, Marketing Management, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 3–4 years of relevant experience, preferably with an NGO or international NGO.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English and Amharic.
  • Knowledge of the local regional language is required.
  • Additional Ethiopian languages are advantageous.

  • Addis Ababa

7. Procurement Officer

Educational Qualification

  • BA Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3–4 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably with an international NGO.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English and Amharic.
  • Knowledge of the local regional language is required.
  • Additional Ethiopian languages are an advantage.
