VisionFund Micro Finance Institution S.C. is a financial institution established under Proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to low-income communities in both rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. The institution currently operates across four regional states and is seeking qualified professionals to join its team.

Position 1: Programmer

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience & Technical Skills:

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a programmer or software developer.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Experience working with databases including SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with web development frameworks such as React, Angular, Django, or ASP.NET.
  • Knowledge of mobile application development for Android or iOS is an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • MA, MBA, or BA degree in Management, Banking, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant professional experience.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of savings principles and practices.
  • Good understanding of VisionFund MFI savings policies and strategies.
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide professional guidance and support.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to train, facilitate, mentor, and coach others.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
