Job Summary
New Leaf Medical Complex is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and committed
Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) Officer
to join our healthcare team. The role is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of strategic plans, performance tracking, and impact evaluation through rigorous data-driven methodologies. The PME Officer will support operational efficiency and organizational sustainability by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), enforcing reporting standards, and promoting compliance with institutional evaluation protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Coordination
Coordinate the development and periodic review of departmental work plans and institutional strategic goals.
Ensure all operational activities remain aligned with the hospital’s long-term objectives and governance policies.
Identify planning gaps and recommend prompt corrective actions to ensure organizational targets are met.
2. Monitoring Framework Development
Support the implementation and constant monitoring of performance tracking frameworks across all hospital units.
Develop and update standardized monitoring tools and indicators to track progress against healthcare service benchmarks.
3. Data Collection & Quality Assurance
Supervise data collection processes and ensure compliance with environmental and organizational safety guidelines for information management.
Conduct regular audits of departmental data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and institutional sustainability.
4. Performance Evaluation & Risk Management
Conduct comprehensive performance evaluations and safety inspections regarding project outcomes, documenting all findings.
Identify potential operational hazards or variances and support the implementation of mitigation measures.
Prepare detailed evaluation findings, impact reports, and strategic compliance recommendations.
5. Training & Capacity Building
Provide awareness sessions and training for staff on monitoring tools, data reporting, and evaluation methodologies.
Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement among staff and facility users.
Support institutional initiatives related to improving healthcare standards and operational benchmarks.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of performance metrics, evaluation reports, and strategic planning documents.
Document institutional achievements, hazards, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
Prepare periodic monitoring and evaluation reports for management review to support evidence-based decision-making.
Competency Requirements
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or Power BI) and advanced reporting and documentation skills.
Behavioral Traits:
Professionalism, integrity, and strong attention to detail.
Soft Skills:
Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities to work effectively across various clinical and administrative departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
BSc Degree in Statistics, Economics, Project Management, Business Administration
, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Licensing:
Valid professional certification in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) is highly desirable.
Experience:
3–5 years
of relevant experience in planning, monitoring, or evaluation, ideally within a healthcare or fast-paced corporate setting.
Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of monitoring frameworks, data analysis tools, and institutional reporting standards
