The Physiotherapist at Teklehaimanot General Hospital will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments or disabilities. This full-time position requires a mid-level professional with 3-5 years of experience, working primarily in an office setting. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans, aiming to enhance patient mobility and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
Utilize various therapeutic techniques to improve patients' mobility and strength.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients and their families on exercises and self-care techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations and treatment outcomes.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices in physiotherapy.
Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and interns.
Required Skills:
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
Apply knowledge of movement mechanics to develop effective treatment strategies.
Utilize manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and restore function.
Design exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
Conduct functional assessments to identify movement dysfunction.
Implement modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation for pain management.
Evaluate and interpret diagnostic imaging related to musculoskeletal conditions.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain treatment processes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based physiotherapy practices.
Desired Skills:
Experience with sports rehabilitation and injury prevention techniques.
Familiarity with pediatric physiotherapy practices.
Knowledge of ergonomic assessment and workplace health.
Ability to conduct research to contribute to clinical practices.
Proficiency in using physiotherapy software for patient management.
