In Ethiopia, the organization focuses on agroforestry and seed multiplication, helping farmers increase income and resilience. The Ethiopia program has planted over 30 million trees and improved the livelihoods of nearly 200,000 community members.
Position: Driver (Fixed‑Term)
Key Responsibilities
Safely drive staff and materials, ensuring punctuality and adherence to schedules. Follow traffic laws, speed limits, and organizational transport policies. Maintain vehicle logbooks, report incidents, and ensure supervisor sign‑off. Conduct daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, brakes, tires, lights). Keep vehicles clean and schedule routine servicing. Support logistics team with loading/unloading and document delivery. Ensure passenger safety and compliance with seatbelt rules. Remain alert to security risks and follow emergency procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
Education/License: Level 1 passenger driver’s license with clean record. Experience: Minimum 3 years professional driving experience. Languages: Fluent in Amharic and at least one Southern Nations language (preferred: Wolayttattuwa, Hadiyyisa, or Kambaatissa). Skills: Professional driving and cargo management Time management and punctuality Effective communication and reporting Basic vehicle mechanics knowledge Flexibility and adaptability to changing routes Team collaboration and problem‑solving
