Samaritan's Purse Vacancy 2026 | Health & Nutrition Program Manager & Medical Doctor
Samaritan's Purse (SP) is inviting qualified healthcare professionals to apply for multiple positions in Ethiopia. The organization is seeking experienced candidates to support its humanitarian health and nutrition programs in emergency-affected communities. These positions are subject to the availability of funding.
Position 1: Health & Nutrition Program Manager
Number of Positions: 2
Contract Duration: Until 31 December 2026 (subject to funding)
Educational Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Master of Public Health (MPH) or
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) from a recognized institution.
Experience
Candidates should possess:
- 3–4 years of relevant experience for applicants with an MPH degree, or
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience for Medical Doctors.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical leadership or health coordination experience.
- Previous experience working in humanitarian or low-resource settings is highly desirable.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English and Amharic.
- Knowledge of the local language of the duty station is required.
- Additional Ethiopian language skills are an advantage.

Educational Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized university.
- Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine is preferred.
Experience
- 5–6 years of clinical experience in hospitals or healthcare facilities.
- Experience working in humanitarian or resource-limited settings is an advantage.
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
Language Requirements
- Good command of English and Amharic.
- Knowledge of the regional language is required.
- Additional local language skills are considered an advantage.
