Centre for Justice (CJ) is inviting qualified and motivated law graduates to apply for internship opportunities in Addis Ababa and Adama. The organization is seeking passionate individuals who are committed to promoting justice, human rights, and criminal justice reform in Ethiopia.

The Centre for Justice (CJ) is an independent civil society organization dedicated to improving Ethiopia’s criminal justice system through legal assistance, advocacy, research, and policy reform. Its work focuses on protecting human rights and improving the welfare of inmates and vulnerable individuals within the justice system.

Position 1: Legal Aid Service Provider Intern

Required Qualification

• LL.B Degree in Law (recent graduates or candidates awaiting graduation confirmation are eligible to apply).

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Human Rights Law.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of empathy, patience, and professionalism.
• Willingness to work at Kality or Areda Police Stations.
• Ability to work effectively in a police station environment.

Salary: Negotiable

Duty Station: Addis Ababa (Kality or Areda Police Stations)

Position 2: Projects Intern

Required Qualification

• LL.B Degree in Law (recent graduates or candidates awaiting graduation confirmation are eligible to apply).

Requirements

• Strong legal research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
