Position: Junior IT Officer
Location: Addis Ababa
Job Summary
The Junior IT Officer will support the company's IT infrastructure by maintaining servers, networks, end-user systems, and cybersecurity measures. The role also involves providing technical support, managing IT assets, and assisting with technology implementation projects to ensure efficient IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
- Perform system updates, backups, security patching, and recovery testing.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, server, storage, and network issues.
- Administer routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and office equipment.
- Implement cybersecurity measures, including antivirus and endpoint protection.
- Maintain IT asset inventories, software licenses, and technical documentation.
- Support email systems, collaboration platforms, and productivity tools.
- Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades and technology projects.
- Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in IT support, system administration, or related roles.
- Working knowledge of Windows administration, networking, hardware troubleshooting, and user account management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Candidates holding any of the following certifications will have an advantage:
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+

- Cisco CCNA
- Microsoft Certifications
