Stichting Wageningen Research (SWR) Ethiopia is inviting recent graduates to apply for its Internship Opportunity 2026. This program offers young professionals the chance to gain practical experience in Ethiopia’s seed sector by working with agricultural research centers and seed companies. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a recent graduate from a recognized university in one of the following fields:
- Horticulture
- Plant Science
- Agribusiness
- Agricultural Economics
- Rural Development
- Marketing
- Crop Production
- Or be a graduate of an Agricultural TVET institution with satisfactory CoC Level IV results.
- Demonstrate an interest in working in the seed sector.
- Obtain a confirmation letter from a host organization (seed company or agricultural research center) willing to provide internship placement for 3–6 months.
- Be available to participate in the internship on a full-time basis.
- Must not have previously participated in any internship program.
- Meet all additional requirements specified in the application form.
Key Responsibilities
Successful interns will:
- Participate in orientation, follow-up sessions, and on-the-job training.
- Learn about the mission, values, and daily operations of the host organization.
- Complete assigned tasks and responsibilities professionally.
- Build practical skills and gain hands-on work experience.
