Position: ICT Technician / ICT Officer

About the Role

The ICT Technician / ICT Officer will oversee the installation, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of the school's ICT systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide technical support, manage networks and servers, support digital learning platforms, administer the School Information Management System (SIMS), and contribute to the institution's digital transformation initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain ICT infrastructure, servers, and networks.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and end users.
• Administer School Information Management Systems (SIMS).
• Support e-learning platforms and online examinations.
• Ensure data security, system backups, and ICT compliance.
• Maintain ICT assets, databases, and technical documentation.
• Assist with digital transformation projects and business process improvements.
• Train staff on ICT tools and emerging technologies.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant ICT technical support experience.
• Practical knowledge of:
  • Hardware and software maintenance
  • Network administration
  • Windows Server environments
  • Cisco routers and switches
  • Firewalls and network troubleshooting

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
