Intern in MEL and Communication
Position Overview
The intern will gain practical experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning (MEL) and Communication , supporting visibility, documentation, and outreach activities. This role reports to the MEAL Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Communication & Visibility: Develop content for newsletters, social media, websites, and reports. Create infographics, blog posts, press releases, and visibility materials. Manage social media presence and analytics. Capture high‑quality photos/videos during project visits. Support event promotion and outreach campaigns. Monitoring & Evaluation: Assist in mobile data collection and routine monitoring tools. Contribute to project ToRs and donor/government reports. Support updating dashboards, IPTTs, and databases. Participate in internal/external evaluations. Learning: Document lessons learned with project and MEAL staff. Contribute to knowledge sharing and visibility initiatives.
Qualifications
Recent graduate in Digital Design, Computer Science, Statistics, Communications, or related fields. Certifications in digital/graphic design, database management, foreign languages, photo/video editing are an advantage. Excellent English writing and communication skills. Proficiency in social media platforms, digital design software, and video editing. Knowledge of mobile data collection tools and data analysis software. Strong organizational skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work in diverse settings.
Benefits
Daily rate: ETB 1000 (subject to applicable taxes). Practical experience in MEL, communication, and visibility strategies.
