Ipas Ethiopia is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the following full-time positions. The organization is seeking candidates with relevant expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to improving health programs and services.

1. Health System Advisor

Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Health or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in health program management is required.

Grade: S1
Number of Positions: 3
Reports to: Regional Program Leads
Employment Type: Full-time
Contract: One year, with the possibility of extension
Salary: Negotiable

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Good understanding of national policies and strategies related to reproductive health.
  • Strong teamwork and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Good command of relevant local languages and English:
    • Oromiffa for the Oromia assignment.
    • Amharic for the Amhara and Central Ethiopia assignments.
    • English for professional communication.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly.
  • Existing positive relationships with regional health bureau management will be an advantage.
  • Experience using information and communication technologies (ICT) and audiovisual materials is an added advantage.

Duty Stations

  • Amhara Region: South and North Wollo Zones – 1 position
  • Central Ethiopia: Alaba, Kembata and Hadiya Zones – 1 position
  • Oromia Region: East and West Hararge Zones – 1 position

2. Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (RM&E) Advisor

Education:
Postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or another relevant discipline.

Experience:
At least 7 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and research, preferably within reproductive health programs.

Grade: S1
Reports to: Senior Research and Evaluation (R&E) Advisor
Employment Type: Full-time
Contract: One year, with the possibility of extension
Salary: Negotiable
Location: Addis Ababa

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in collecting, managing, analyzing, and presenting data and research findings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience using statistical software such as Epi Info, Stata, SPSS, and Power BI.
  • Experience with qualitative analysis software such as Atlas.ti or NVivo is an advantage.
  • Strong research project management and administration skills.
  • Experience supervising field teams and coordinating with national, international, and partner organizations.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • High level of honesty, integrity, flexibility, and punctuality.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for field assignments.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

3. Senior Project Manager

Educational Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) qualification.
  • Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) or another relevant field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) coordination and leadership.
  • Strong project management experience, including work planning, budgeting, implementation, and project monitoring.

Grade: Expert
Reports to: Country Director
Employment Type: Full-time
Contract: One year, with the possibility of extension
Salary: Negotiable
Location: Addis Ababa

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership, communication, team-building, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Innovative and creative approach to project management.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for project assignments, up to approximately 30% of working time.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead diverse teams, staff, and partners.
  • Strong commitment to sexual and reproductive health and rights, particularly the prevention of unintended pregnancy and unsafe abortion.
  • Experience in facilitation and training.
  • High level of integrity and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
