EthioChicken Job Vacancy 2026 – Hatchery Officer & Electrician

EthioChicken is inviting qualified and interested candidates to apply for the following job opportunities in Addis Ababa. The company is an Ethiopian-based poultry business that supplies chickens to smallholder farmers and focuses on improving farmers’ livelihoods through poultry production.

Position 1: Hatchery Officer

Educational Qualification:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).

Experience:
Fresh graduates with 0 years of experience are encouraged to apply.

Main Responsibilities

The Hatchery Officer will work to maintain industry standards for the production of high-quality day-old chicks and support improved hatchability and company profitability. The position also involves communicating important hatchery information and preparing reports for other departments.

Work Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Electrician

Educational Requirements

Applicants should have one of the following qualifications:

  • 10+3 in a relevant electrical field
  • Diploma
  • Level III or above
  • Electrical Technology
  • Electrical Industrial Control and Drive
  • Other related fields

Experience:

  • Diploma holders: At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Degree holders: At least 2 years of relevant experience

Additional Requirements

Candidates should have practical knowledge of:

  • Electrical installation systems
  • Maintenance of generators and electrical pumps
  • Cooling systems and related equipment
  • Equipment repair and maintenance
  • Plumbing system repairs
  • Workplace safety procedures and maintenance precautions
