ABIG is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the following position.

Position: Finance Manager

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA are highly preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Previous experience in a multi-industry organization or group/holding company is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Ethiopian tax regulations, and applicable financial reporting frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Peachtree, SAP, or other ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Financial and account management.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in using Peachtree Accounting, including recording transactions, posting entries, and closing accounts.
  • IFRS reporting and compliance.
  • ACCA certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

  • Corporate finance and business valuation.
  • Experience working with IFMIS and IFRIS systems.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
