Position Summary
ABIG is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic
Finance Manager
to oversee the financial operations . The Finance Manager will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and control, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with ABIG's group-wide financial standards. This role works closely with the CFO's office and business unit leadership to support sound decision-making across a multi-sector portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for assigned business unit(s), tracking performance against targets.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and internal audit requirements; liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Develop and enforce internal financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Provide financial analysis and business insights to support strategic decisions, cost optimization, and investment evaluations.
Support the CFO/V-CFO with consolidated group reporting and cross-company financial coordination.
Manage and mentor finance and accounting staff within the unit, building team capability.
Monitor key financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,  (Master's degree an advantage).
Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Experience in a multi-industry, group/holding company environment is a plus.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, Ethiopian tax law, and financial regulatory frameworks.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
