The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is inviting qualified candidates to apply for two job opportunities at its offices in Ethiopia.

1. Human Rights Officer – Women’s Rights
Qualifications and Experience
- LLB, LLM, or MA in Law, Human Rights Law, International Law, or a related field
- LLB: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- LLM/MA: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Computer literacy is required
- Knowledge of Amharic is mandatory
- Knowledge of other Ethiopian local languages is an advantage
Job Purpose
The Human Rights Officer will conduct day-to-day human rights monitoring activities across different sectors and levels, with a particular focus on the promotion and protection of women’s rights.
Position Details
- Location: Asossa City Office
- Salary: ETB 27,129–31,405 per month
- House Allowance: ETB 12,100
- Transport Allowance: ETB 4,000
2. Translator and Press Officer
Qualifications and Experience
- BA or MA in Language Studies, Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, International Studies, Political Science, or a related field
- BA: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- MA: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Computer literacy is required
- Knowledge of Amharic and the relevant local language of the region is required
