Reports Operation Manager

The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting staff, patients, medical supplies, and equipment as required by the hospital. This role requires adherence to traffic laws, vehicle maintenance, and punctuality to support hospital operations effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Duties:
Safely operate hospital vehicles (e.g., ambulances, staff transport, cargo vans) for transporting personnel, patients, medical samples, medications, or supplies.
Plan efficient routes and adhere to schedules.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Perform basic routine maintenance checks (e.g., tire pressure, oil levels, fuel).
Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained.
Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
Adhere to all Ethiopian traffic laws and regulations.
Assist with loading and unloading items as needed.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate logbooks of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
Ensure all vehicle documentation (e.g., license, insurance) is valid and accessible.
Safety and Security Duties:
Prioritize the safety of passengers and cargo.
Be aware of emergency procedures, especially when transporting patients.
Other Duties as Required:
Perform other duties assigned by the management.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Ethiopian driving license (appropriate class for the vehicles to be driven).
Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable professional driving experience, preferably in an institutional or healthcare setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
:
Clean driving record.
Good knowledge of local roads and routes in Addis Ababa and surrounding areas.
Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
Good communication skills.
