Debo Microfinance Institution S.C. invites qualified and competent professionals to apply for the following vacant positions.
1. Customer Service Officer I (2 Positions)
Educational Qualification
- TVET Level IV or BA Degree in Management, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, or other related fields.
Work Experience
- TVET Level IV: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the microfinance sector.
- BA Degree: No prior work experience is required.
- Experience in community mobilization, loan disbursement, loan repayment follow-up, customer service, savings mobilization, and loan portfolio management is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and community mobilization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and institutional financial systems.
- Ability to train clients on business management and record-keeping.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating loan applications and ensuring compliance with operational procedures.
2. Teller I (1 Position)
Educational Qualification
- TVET Level IV or BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Business Management, or related fields.
Work Experience
- TVET Level IV: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in cash handling, reconciliation, and financial record management within financial institutions.
- BA Degree: No prior work experience is required.
- Previous experience in customer service and microfinance operations is desirable.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of core banking systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and institutional financial software.
- Strong cash management, reconciliation, and transaction recording skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
3. Accountant I (1 Position)
Educational Qualification
- BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or Business Management.
Work Experience
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management.
- Prior experience working as a branch cashier is preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping.
- Experience with bank reconciliation and fixed asset management.
- Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and analyze financial data.
- Familiarity with institutional financial policies, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
4. Branch Manager I
Educational Qualification
- BA or MBA in Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Customer Service Officer or in a comparable supervisory role.
- Demonstrated success in loan administration, portfolio management, and customer service.
Required Skills
- Training in microfinance operations, loan management, and branch supervision.
- Knowledge of accounting systems, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, staff supervision, performance evaluation, and capacity-building skills.
