The organization is currently recruiting professionals for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Officer and Cashier positions.

Position 1: Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Officer

Job Summary

DPO is seeking experienced Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Officers to strengthen mental health and psychosocial services in refugee camps. The successful candidates will coordinate, implement, and monitor community-based and facility-based mental health interventions while working closely with health facilities, humanitarian partners, and local stakeholders to ensure quality and accessible services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and monitor MHPSS activities in accordance with project goals and WHO mhGAP guidelines.
  • Identify, assess, manage, and refer individuals requiring mental health and psychosocial support.
  • Deliver psychosocial interventions including Psychological First Aid (PFA), Problem Management Plus (PM+), psychoeducation, and individual, family, and group counseling.
  • Train and mentor healthcare workers, refugee volunteers, and community health workers.
  • Conduct community awareness activities to reduce stigma and promote mental well-being.
  • Coordinate with health, protection, GBV, child protection, nutrition, and education partners.
  • Monitor program performance and prepare technical and donor reports.
  • Ensure proper management of psychotropic medicines and MHPSS supplies.
  • Maintain safeguarding, confidentiality, child protection, GBV, and PSEA standards.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychiatry Nursing, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
  • A Master's Degree is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support.
  • Experience working in humanitarian emergencies, refugee settings, or conflict-affected areas is highly preferred.
  • Experience implementing community-based MHPSS programs and WHO mhGAP is desirable.

Position 2: Cashier

Job Summary

DPO is looking for qualified Cashiers to manage financial transactions, process cash and cheque payments, and ensure compliance with the organization's financial policies while providing efficient cashier services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process cash, cheque, and other financial transactions accurately.
  • Handle tax-related transactions including income tax, pension, and withholding tax.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and maintain proper cash records.
  • Count and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each working day.
  • Maintain transaction reports and financial records.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve payment-related issues.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance, Management, Economics, or a related field.

Experience

  • Diploma holders: Minimum 3 years of relevant cashier experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree holders: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
