Overview
The World Health Organization (WHO) offers one of the world’s most competitive and impactful internship programmes for students and recent graduates interested in public health, global health governance, administration, communications, and international development . Interns gain hands‑on experience inside WHO’s technical and administrative units and contribute directly to global health priorities.

Eligibility Requirements
Age
Minimum 20 years old at the time of application
Education
Enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate programme in: Public health Medicine Social sciences Management Administration Communications External relations OR have completed a degree within the last 18 months Must have completed at least 3 years of full‑time university studies
Languages
Fluency in at least one working language of the WHO office of assignment
Nationality
Must hold a valid passport from a WHO Member State
Family Relation Restriction
Cannot be closely related to a WHO staff member (parent, sibling, child)
Other Requirements
Must not have previously participated in the WHO Internship Programme
