Finance Assistant Intern
Position Summary
The Finance Assistant Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Head of Finance, Administration, and HR .
The internship provides hands-on exposure to financial documentation, compliance tracking, record-keeping, and general financial administration within a non-governmental organization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Finance Assistant Intern will:
Assist in organizing, filing, and archiving financial documents, payment vouchers, invoices, and receipts. Conduct preliminary reviews of financial documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational procedures. Assist in logging, digitizing, and updating financial data in tracking sheets and financial templates. Support the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits. Assist with general administrative tasks, financial correspondence, and documentation workflows within the unit. Perform other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
Applicants should be either:
Recent graduates; or Final-year students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field .
Experience
Fresh graduates and candidates with less than 1 year of professional experience are encouraged to apply.
Language Requirements
Excellent written and spoken English and Amharic .
Technical Skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word . Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
