💼 Job Purpose
To provide efficient and safe transportation of authorized personnel and/or commodities in line with UN safety and security rules.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Transport authorized personnel and deliver items/commodities safely and efficiently. Assist visitors at airports/entry points with visa and customs formalities. Maintain vehicle logbooks and report mechanical status daily. Ensure vehicles are clean, well‑maintained, and equipped with required authorizations. Report accidents or mechanical issues promptly to supervisors. Perform basic office tasks (filing, photocopying, mailing, bill payments) when required.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
Education: Completion of secondary school; formal driver training with valid license. Experience: Minimum 2 years as a driver, preferably with international organizations, embassies, or UN agencies. Experience with multiple vehicle types and defensive driving desirable. Skills: Knowledge of driving rules, chauffeur protocol, and local roads. Ability to assess vehicle fitness and perform minor repairs. Basic first aid knowledge. Strong client‑oriented approach, responsibility, courtesy, and tact. Languages: Fluency in English and Afargna.
