United Nations Office of the Special Envoy Vacancy
Role description
The United Nations Office of the Special Envoy for of the Secretary-General on the Great Lakes Region is mandated by the Security Council to lead, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of national and regional commitments under the Peace, Security and Cooperation (PSC) Framework.
The Office provides strategic coordination of international support, particularly for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, and Uganda, to promote accountability.
POSITION 1: Data Visualization Intern
Education: Must be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in international relations, political sciences, economics, development, public administration, or other related fields;
In addition, the candidate must:
1. Be computer literate in standard software applications;
2. Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter; and
3. Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.

Education: Must be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in international relations, political sciences, economics, development, public administration, or other related fields;
