About the Role
AeTrade Group is looking for qualified MSME Trainers to support the delivery of capacity-building programs for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The successful candidates will be included in a prequalified trainer pool/database and engaged on an on-demand basis. They will design, deliver, and facilitate training, coaching, and mentorship in areas such as entrepreneurship, financial management, digital transformation, market access, and export readiness.
Engagement will depend on program needs and trainer expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNA) for digital trade advisors and MSME learners across different delivery platforms.
Design, develop, adapt, and upload competency-based training programs and learning materials into the Learning Management System (LMS).
Facilitate interactive training sessions using adult learning methodologies in both face-to-face and virtual formats.
Support learner engagement in LMS-based training, including orientation, participation, and module completion.
Provide coaching and post-training support to ensure application of learning in practical business contexts.
Mentor emerging trainers and support Training of Trainers (ToT) and cascade training approaches.
Provide advisory support to MSMEs and digital trade advisors on applying training content in real business operations.
Monitor training delivery, collect feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes across all formats.
Ensure quality assurance in line with AeTrade training standards and methodologies.
Prepare training reports including attendance, evaluation results, and key recommendations.
Contribute to continuous improvement of training content, delivery methods, and LMS effectiveness.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Education, Development Studies, HR Development, or related fields (Master’s is an advantage)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in MSME training, enterprise development, business advisory, or capacity building programs, with strong skills in training facilitation, instructional design, and development of practical MSME training materials
Proven experience in designing and delivering competency-based training using face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning approaches
Experience in Training of Trainers (ToT), coaching, and mentoring is highly desirable
Certification in training, facilitation, or MSME development (e.g., ILO, UNCTAD Empretec, IFC or equivalent) is required; experience with LMS and digital learning platforms is an added advantage
