Position: Partnership and Advocacy Officer
Purpose of the Role: The Partnership and Advocacy Officer will support Oxfam’s partnership, grant management, and advocacy initiatives in Gambella. The role focuses on strengthening collaboration with Refugee‑Led and Women‑Led Organizations , advancing localization commitments, and promoting meaningful participation and leadership of local actors.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage sub‑grants and ensure partner compliance with donor and organizational requirements Build partner capacity and support localization initiatives Collaborate with Refugee Response Program Manager, Partnership Coordinator, and Influencing/Policy/Communication Manager Support advocacy efforts to promote funding access for local and refugee‑led organizations Conduct stakeholder engagement and strategic networking Provide regular reports and ensure adherence to humanitarian principles and safeguarding policies
Qualifications & Experience:
BA/BSc/MA/MSc in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Development Studies, Business Management, or Economics Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience (Bachelor’s) or 3 years (Master’s) Experience working with local organizations, community‑based groups, and Refugee‑Led Organizations (RLOs) Strong background in project management, partnership development, grant administration, and advocacy Knowledge of Ethiopian finance, tax, and procurement laws Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills Familiarity with humanitarian principles, localization frameworks, and refugee protection systems
