Role description
Omo Bank invites interested and qualified applicants for the following job positions. Omo Microfinance is edging closer in its bid to transform into a bank. It is the third microfinance institution to make such a move, after Amhara and Oromia saving & credit institutions.
Omo was one of the five largest microfinance institutions in Ethiopia, along with Amhara, Oromia, Addis, and Dedebit. These institutions account for 82.6pc of the total capital, 90pc of the savings, and 85.9pc of the credit provided in the microfinance market.
Position 1: IT Security Officer I
Educational Qualification:
MSc/BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or any related field.
Work Experience:
1/2 years of IT or Information Security work experience.
Preferred Certifications:
CompTIA Security+, CEH (Entry-level), ISO 27001 Foundation, Network+.
Position 2: Application Developer Officer II
Educational Qualification:
MSc/BSc in Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study.
Work Experience:
2/3 years of related work experience, of which 1 year as an Officer I.
Position 3: System Administrator Officer II
Educational Qualification:
MSc/BSc in Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study.
Work Experience:
2/3 years of related work experience, of which 1 year as an Officer I.
Position 4: Application Developer Officer III
Educational Qualification:
MSc/BSc in Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study.
Work Experience:
3/4 years of related work experience, of which 1 year as an Officer II.
Position 5: Senior Application Development Officer
Educational Qualification:
MSc/BSc in Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study.
Work Experience:
4/5 years of related work experience, of which 2 years as a System Admin Officer, Core IT Application Support Officer, System Administrator Officer, or equivalent position.
