Junior Auditor Job Responsibilities
The Junior Auditor will support internal audit activities across OMEDAD PLC's different business operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist with planning and conducting internal audit assignments across departments and branches. Review financial documents, transaction records, and supporting evidence for accuracy and compliance. Conduct physical verification of inventory, fixed assets, and cash when required. Identify control weaknesses, discrepancies, and irregularities and document findings. Prepare audit working papers and draft sections of audit reports under supervision. Follow up on the implementation of previous audit recommendations. Support special investigations and ad hoc reviews assigned by senior audit management.
Qualifications and Requirements
BA degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Management, or a related field . 0–2 years of relevant experience. Internship or practical attachment experience is an advantage. Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word . Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage. Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills. Good written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English . High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics. Willingness to travel to branch locations when required.
