About the Program
The Jobtech for Refugees and Youth program creates employment opportunities for refugees and displaced young people through digital work platforms and technology-enabled solutions.
Position Summary
The Project Manager will lead day-to-day implementation in Ethiopia, including recruiting refugees and displaced talent, managing partnerships with jobtech platforms and organizations, coordinating stakeholders, overseeing administrative processes, and contributing to research and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead program delivery, planning, budgeting, and implementation. Recruit and enroll refugees and displaced talent onto jobtech platforms. Develop partnerships with refugee-led and community-based organizations. Manage relationships with jobtech platforms, government stakeholders, and Mercy Corps Ethiopia. Coordinate procurement, contracting, reporting, and administrative processes. Facilitate Community of Practice events and knowledge exchanges. Support monitoring, learning, research, donor reporting, and data quality. Integrate safeguarding principles into program activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, livelihoods, employment, or a related field. Experience working with refugees and understanding the refugee working context. Experience managing teams, budgets, partnerships, and donor compliance. Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences , or a related field. Private-sector, startup, or technology experience is an advantage. Strong planning, coordination, communication, analytical, and relationship-management skills. Fluency in English . Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shared document platforms.
Duty Station and Travel
The position is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia , with up to 30% travel to refugee settlements and stakeholder locations.
