Job Description
The professional hired as our Liaison will be highly responsible for recording, tracking, and efficiently executing all company matters requiring or not requiring formal power of attorney. By establishing close relationships and networks with various banks, government ministries, and partner institutions, the officer will ensure the success of the company’s external operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Banking Matters: Efficiently execute bank-related tasks on time, either in person (by visiting offices) or via phone; report any delays with valid justifications to the immediate supervisor.
* Institutional Relations: Personally visit and handle documentation, studies, and cargo clearance activities with the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX), Customs Commission, Ministry of Revenues, Ethio-Djibouti Railway, Road Transport Authority, and the Ministry of Agriculture.
* Documentation and Plan Management: Properly maintain company documents; lead with structured planning by preparing daily, weekly, and monthly action item board checklists.
* Problem Solving: Execute assigned tasks carefully by analyzing and addressing past operational gaps; proactively re-plan and resolve incomplete matters within a short timeframe (within 24 hours).
Education:
BA Degree in Management, Accounting, Supply and Logistics, Economics, or Business Administration.
Work Experience:
Relevant work experience in similar liaison roles, customs and bank clearance, or operations management. Having direct experience in a similar role within the import/export sector is a distinct advantage.
Personal Ethics (Strictly Required):
Must be entirely free from any form of substance addiction or dependency.
Core Skills:
Highly punctual, respectful of work schedules, capable of delivering reliable and honest information, and possesses a strong desire to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Capacity Building:
Willingness to actively participate in capacity-building training sessions organized by the company.
